What We Do

A working lodge.

Inside the lodge — past masters lining the wall.

Johnson City Lodge is a working lodge under the Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F. & A.M. We hold stated meetings on the third Tuesday of each month, gather for Floor School every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, and meet on call when degree work or special events require it.

Beyond our regular work, the lodge supports our community through scholarships for local students, Feed the Teachers Friday at the Johnson City schools, and care for the historic Johnson City Masonic Cemetery — established by our predecessors in 1892. We also contribute to the broader work of the Grand Lodge of Texas, including the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and the Masonic Home and School of Texas.

Our members live and work throughout Blanco County and the surrounding Hill Country. We come from many trades and walks of life and meet on the level — the same level our predecessors met on for nearly a century and a half.

Fellowship

A family lodge.

Lodge dinners are open to families. Husbands, wives, children, and elders share the same table — and have for as long as anyone can remember. Through the year we share BBQ fundraisers, holiday gatherings with the community, and quieter Tuesday-evening meals before stated meetings.
